SMS-based organization search system created

Goal

To create a system to process SMS requests to search for organizations located in the YP Jamaica database and generate responses.

Obstacle

Lots of various data entry options had to be taken into account. For example, pizza, piza, pizzeria, place with pizza, etc.

Solution

We developed an application. There were some specific aspects: we compiled a tag cloud for every object in the database and used the NLP search to increase the syntactic accuracy. The search is performed through 8 YP databases. We provided for the possibility to launch advertising campaigns that add advertising to the SMS response text. The response SMS includes the aggregated search results prioritized depending on the amount of the advertisers’ contribution.
