Security audit of fintech app conducted and potential data theft cases reduced
Goal
The application operated with users’ financial data, and it was critically important for the Client to identify application bottlenecks and find any insecure areas in order to fix them.
Obstacle
To cover all test cases it was necessary to use third-party services that do not support working in test mode. For example, to connect a cryptocurrency wallet it was necessary to test a case with real cryptocurrency.
Solution
We checked the administrator and the user working areas, as well as all processes related to payment, for the possibility of penetration or malicious data introduction. We identified vulnerabilities and helped to fix them. To work with the third-party systems, we developed the maximum number of possible test cases using the minimum amount of test data (cash, accounts, etc.).
