Native Android app developed together with the Client including an automatic trip status change function
Goal
To automate transportation management and tracking. To reduce expenses for cargo location monitoring.
Obstacle
When passing the trip route, a driver had to manually update the status changes, which was very inconvenient and the drivers often neglected these duties.
Solution
We took the Client’s preliminary work as a basis and developed a native mobile app for the carrier and the driver that allows to transfer the cargo location data with reasonable accuracy and is low energy-consuming.
We developed a service for location data collection integrated with the basic marketplace system. We implemented a completely automated function of the trip status change depending on the truck geolocation. The events responded when the transport entered the route geo zones.
The functions of the new app replaced the expensive beacons that had been used to collect transport geolocation data.
