Alternative to the existing Smart Home apps developed that provides for connecting devices of various brands

Goal

To develop an app that allows us to plug in smart devices of various providers.

Obstacle

As a rule, it’s quite difficult or even impossible to integrate smart devices of different brands with each other and to plug them into one hub or app. The existing solutions don’t solve the problem completely or are too complicated for a regular user.

Solution

We analyzed the existing solutions and made a list of popular ones. Then we created an architecture that allows to add devices of various providers into one app and manage them. A user gets the freedom to choose between brands without sticking to the only one.
